Valencia oranges on the horizon
An important part of our South African citrus season, our Valencia oranges are harvesting from WEEK 23
With early availability due to the climactic advantages of our Limpopo based farms, our Valencia oranges are the crown jewel of our season of citrus out of South Africa.
Valencia oranges are naturally large and juicy with a great flavour. Our earliest harvesting varieties, Benny and Turkey Valencia oranges have an impressive colour when ripe and flesh packed full of juice, housed under a thinner skin, making it fairly easy to peel when compared to other orange cultivars.
Our specialist fruit pickers ensure that Jupiter oranges are harvested at the ideal time, allowing for the naturally developed sweetness to hit the optimum level before making their way to supermarket shelves.
