Each year on June 08, World Ocean Day brings together supporters around the world to “protect and restore our blue planet!”

On World Ocean Day, people everywhere have the opportunity to unite, celebrate and take action for our shared ocean.

There are various ways that we can support World Ocean Day including signing an online petition to protect at least 30% of our ocean by 2030, putting together conservation initiatives and spreading the message by engaging in online events.

World Ocean Day have also put together a fantastic resource allowing you to plan your own Coastal and Inland Cleanup Guide

Prevented Ocean Plastic™ (POP)

As part of our vision of becoming the most transparent company in fresh produce, we take our responsibilities seriously, especially those that impact our oceans. We are committed to operate in a way that enhances society, offering protection and provision to the environments we work in, instead of contributing negatively to them.

In line with our responsibility focus, we joined forces with packaging supplier Sharpak Aylesham and the Prevented Ocean Plastic™ (POP) initiative to introduce a recycled solution for our prepared fruit punnets.

To help divert high quality plastic from the ocean, our 400g Watermelon and Pineapple packs, supplied into two major retailers in the UK, are our first punnets to include Prevented Ocean Plastic™ (POP).
