In the latest conversation as part of our podcast series from ‘The Pod’, our Joint MD Yvonne Tweddle joined our Technical Director Cristian Metzger to discuss her recent appearance in the African Investment Conference and the future of farming in the region.
Farming in South Africa
As part of our ‘Strengthening the UK-Africa Agri-relationship’ podcast, Yvonne spoke passionately about wanting to make a real difference in Africa, referring to South Africa as ‘a second home’ she holds dear to her heart.
On farm investments and the journey of our South African farms Yvonne continued:
“When we took over the farms they were unloved, and for anyone working in agriculture, any type of agriculture, you have to love what you do. You have to invest time, energy and effort as well as money to be able to bring something back to life…”
