Our Star Ruby grapefruit season has now come to a close with the final fruit packed and on the way to our global customers.
We are delighted to have seen further improvements from last year’s crop and are pleased to note the quality of the fruit from our farms. We’ve packed a whopping 425,983 15kg boxes of the delicious red fleshed fruit.
George, our Farm Line Manager in Limpopo, South Africa said:
“Our Star Ruby grapefruit are done for 2022! We’re looking forward to further customer feedback so that we can measure our improvements from the previous year. I’m confident that our clients will be more than satisfied with the finished product.”
He continued, “The start of our Valencia orange season also looks very promising and it’s a pleasure to pack such great quality fruit. Well done to the production team!”
Valencia varieties update
Our main Valencia varieties Midknight and Delta, are due to start from WEEK 26 depending on production area.
Midknight Valencias have a strong flavour that is often described as ‘tart and tangy’, which provides the perfect orange juice to drink, but is equally adept when enjoyed as a snack.
Delta oranges are soft and succulent, with a high sugar content and impressive juice ratio when compared with other cultivars.
Powering the way forward…

As part of our on-going commitment to sustainability we’re excited to announce that we have installed solar panels on the roof of our Limpopo packhouse. Now fully functional, our new solar panels allow our control office to run completely off grid, no longer relying on traditional power supplies.
