Smoothies provide a quick and easy option to boost your immune system and are great on the go!

One glass of smoothie is filled with fantastic goodness that can act as a filling breakfast, a midday snack or can even be enjoyed after a work-out.

All you need for a positive start to the day is a blender and a range of fabulous fresh produce.

Top tip…

If you need to prep drinks ahead, adding a teaspoon of Eureka lemon juice before refrigerating can prevent oxidation.

Fill up on these fab five fresh smoothies by simply blending the ingredients together:

Blueberry Banana Avocado Smoothie

The natural yoghurt in this selection adds a superb protein boost to your diet.

– A handful of Blueberries

– 1 frozen banana

– ½ Hass avocado

– Eureka lemon juice

– 2 tbps Natural yoghurt

– Milk

 

Pineapple smoothie

This healthy MD2 Pineapple Smoothie recipe is easy to make and has only five ingredients! One sip of this pineapple/ banana smoothie will make you feel like you’re on a beach, it’s a tropical holiday in a glass!

– Coconut Milk (or milk substitute)

– 1 frozen Banana

– Frozen MD2 pineapple

– 2 tsp Honey

– 1 tsp vanilla extract

 

Kiwi fruit smoothie

This simple Hayward kiwi, mango and MD2 pineapple fruit smoothie makes for an ideal morning treat. It’s an easy way to add vitamins into your diet and give yourself a boost!

– 3 peeled kiwi fruit

– 1 mango , peeled, stoned and chopped

– 500ml pineapple juice

– 1 frozen banana

 

Traditional Orange smoothie

This traditional orange smoothie serves two and provides a brilliant boost of vitamin C in a creamy and moreish drink!

– 2 ripe bananas, peeled and cut into 1 inch pieces (frozen for at least 2 hours)

– 1 cup orange juice

– 1 Valencia orange, peeled and cut up into chunks

– ¾ cup almond milk (or low-fat milk)

– 1 tsp vanilla extract

– 1 carrot, peeled and cut up into 1 inch pieces

– Ice (if you are not using frozen bananas you will want to add a few cubes of ice)

 

Avocado smoothie

This gorgeous green smoothie is healthy and tastes fantastic. If you don’t have any Medjool dates in the house try a couple of tsps of local honey to add a lovely sweet taste.

– 1/2 medium avocado

– 1 banana

– 1 cup spinach (30 g)

– 1 cup milk of your choice (250 ml) unsweetened almond/oat milk works well

– 1–2 Medjool dates (optional), pitted
