We are very pleased to bring you the latest developments from our burgeoning plum trees in Greece.
In another exciting landmark, since our initial update in March of this year, our Greek plums are growing well and beginning to take shape, as can be seen in the above imagery.
Our Greek plum project sees us trialling six new varieties of South African plums in co-operation with Nestos our kiwi partner in Greece.
Exciting new varieties
Our new varieties have been handpicked from Culdevco licensed cultivars. Culdevco are a deciduous fruit licensor that curates and licenses innovative new varieties of plums, peaches, apples, pears and table grapes.
As the exclusive license holder of Culdevco plum varieties in Greece, we have carefully selected the fruit for their flavour, overall quality and probability to flourish in Northern Greece. We’re looking forward to seeing the development as the trial progresses!
Moving forward…
As it typically takes around three to six years of age for a plum tree to bear fruit, we will provide regular updates as the trees reach maturity.
You can keep up to date with our plum journey across our social media channels or by accessing the news area on our website.
