NEW PODCAST- Life on a citrus farm
In the most recent recording as part of ‘The Pod’, our Technical Director Cristian Metzger and our Head of Citrus Kenny MacLeod spoke in great detail with Evert van Deventer, a man from a long-line of family farmers with a deep and meaningful familial connection to our Maswiri farms.
The trio discussed the origin story of our South African farms, as well as providing a look into the future of our citrus production in the region.
Speaking as part of our ‘Life on a citrus farm’ podcast, Head of citrus Kenny provided detail on the unique positioning of our farms adding:
“We would regard Maswiri as one of the earliest farms in South Africa for lemons, grapefruit and Valencia oranges”.
More on our backstory…
You can access the full podcast below and learn how an unassuming racehorse had a part to play in the legacy of our Limpopo farms, where the farm got its name and how our world-class future-proofed packhouse will cope with increased demand in the forthcoming years.
