In our latest offering from ‘The Pod’, our CEO Mark Tweddle hosted a fascinating discussion with our new variety specialist John Ferguson and Leon von Mollendorff, the General Manager of Culdevco, to provide more information on our new variety plums in Greece.

Another world first for Jupiter; you may have seen the news last month that we will be trialling six new varieties of South African plums in co-operation with Nestos our existing kiwi partner in Greece.

Our chosen varieties have been handpicked from an exclusive Culdevco breeding program. Culdevco are a deciduous fruit licensor that licenses and curates pioneering new varieties of plums, peaches, apples, pears and table grapes.

Listen to the Pod…

As well as a providing a deep-dive into why our handpicked selection of South African plums are odds-on to flourish in Greece, Mark, John and Leon also touch on the potential challenges of moving a well-performing variety to a new environment.
