Now that our Greek table grape season has come to a close for 2021 we’re able to reflect on another successful season for our northern hemisphere vineyards.
The Jupiter team on the ground reported great overall quality across all of our varieties, with our Northern based vineyards in Kavala proving to be well placed and untouched by the extreme heat seen in the South of the country earlier in the season.
Increased volumes…
This year saw us expand our reach further into the Far and Middle East with an increased volume of our new variety grapes.
Our exports into the two regions increased by 183% when compared to 2020 and we look forward to continuing with this trend moving forward.
New varieties
We were pleased to again see good volume from Greece with the quality of our new varieties of particular note despite challenges relating to the weather.
It was interesting to see the positive impact of our new weather resistant/tolerant varieties, particularly ARRA 15 (ARRA Sweeties™), when compared to the more traditional Thompson Seedless.
