From 22-24 June, Rotterdam in the Netherlands will again play host to one of the largest information and networking events for the soft fruit business.

Originally scheduled for the end of March, the event has been pushed back in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Global Berry Congress (GBC) attracts around 600 people each year from 50 countries and encompasses all parts of the berry and fresh produce sector. The three day event includes 49 speakers over six stages with items covered such as trends and future opportunities in the fresh berry market.

Sustainability is a key focus

This year sustainability in the berry business will be a core focus for the event with future viability of berry production, distribution models and supply chains all part of the conversation.

The GBC Headline Hub will explore sustainability as well as other important trends in the fresh berry business, with speakers taking to the stage to tackle all of the key talking points from the sector and to provide the ‘freshest industry analysis’.

Speakers on the GBC Fresh Ideas stage will be providing ‘insight and inspiration’ from across the global berry market including more information on new merchandising methods and the development of improved varieties. Attendees of the event can also find interviews taking place throughout the day with some of the world’s leading berry industry professionals.
