Every four weeks through our Well Done Wednesday initiative we like to shout from the rooftops about one of our amazing colleagues. Let’s take a look back at the winners from over the last year…

The New Year kicked off with our Senior Procurement Manager, Dimitris gaining recognition for the arrangement and success of the Greek Grower Conference which had an attendance of over 120 people.

February saw our Head of Marketing Kirsty praised for her outstanding effort organising and running the Jupiter stand at the biggest ever Fruit Logistica in Berlin. Our stand was abuzz with visitors from all over the globe, in no doubt down to Kirsty for pulling out all the stops to make it an impressive event for us.

In March we saw our Senior Packhouse Administrator, Andeline and our Packhouse Clerk Roelene gain the coveted monthly title. Our packhouse pair showed exceptional team work in organising the first ever Jupiter screening checks for Maswiri Farm workers in South Africa.

Congratulations were in order for Dragos in April. A packhouse supervisor based in the UK, Dragos made the Well Done Wednesday headlines for embracing the Jupiter Group values of continuous improvement, particularly his efforts in driving pineapple yield in the prepared part of the business.

Kobus, our Head of Farming in South Africa wore the Well Done Wednesday crown in May for the huge positive impact he made on our Maswiri farm in such a short period of time. He is always happy, professional and focussed even when there are challenges in front of him.

In June we saw multiple faces of WDW in the form of Abe, George and the agricultural students at Maswiri farm. Showing great teamwork, Abe and George supported the students to reinstate the greenhouse originally used by Joubert Fourie to propagate our orange trees.

Cristian, our roaming Technologist was July’s Well Done Wednesday for brilliantly organising the harvest and packing of our ARRA15 (ARRA SWEETIES™) in Morocco.

Emma, our amazing Sales Admin and Process Manager took the title of August’s Well Done Wednesday. Called a ‘star’ and a ‘great asset to our company’, she was nominated for some incredible work on processes and her all round energy and commitment.

September’s WDW went by our Grape Category manager, Anthony. Ant was nominated for embodying our Jupiter values and showing a one team approach by supporting multiple colleagues across the company.

Our Procurement Manager Marcelo was crowned WDW winner in October. Chelo was nominated for his continued hard work by CEO and Joint MD Mark saying, “He’s done very well coming from a completely different background to get stuck into fresh produce”.

The penultimate award of the year went to Mariano, our Business Development Manager based in Europe. Mariano was nominated for the “huge strides” that he has taken over the last six months, as well as his diligent work to further develop global relationships for Jupiter. Commercial Director Steve says “his overall positive attitude and outlook on life is something we should all look up to as he embodies many of our Jupiter company values”.

Our excellent Sales Administrator Karl bagged the last Well Done Wednesday of the year. Our Training Manager Ricky has been impressed with Karl’s dedication to personal development since taking part in a training course a few weeks ago.

We can’t wait to see who shines in 2020…
