Our Delta Valencia oranges have enjoyed the typical climate found in South Africa during this time of year, which has provided a fantastic, bright and even colouration throughout the orchards.

The harvest of this naturally large and juicy fruit began this week and will continue through to WEEK 37, shipping in WEEK 39.

The soft, succulent textured oranges will process through our state-of-the-art, on-farm packhouse, ready to ship to our typical customer base in Europe, the Middle East and Far East.

Delta orange profile

The seedless Delta Valencia orange is an all-rounder, slightly larger in size than traditional Valencias, with a well-balanced profile.

Its sweet flavour and high juice content coupled with its moderately thin and smooth rind lends itself well to both eating and juicing.

A look back at Valencias

With early availability due to the climactic advantages of our Limpopo based farms, our Valencia oranges are often referred to as the crown jewel of our season of citrus out of South Africa.

Succeeding a bumper Turkey Valencia season, 25% up on expectation, we followed with our Benny Valencia and Midknight Valencia harvests.

We closed off our Midknight crop in WEEK 30 after another much higher than anticipated yield.

Up next from Jupiter Group

Following our Thompson table grape harvest which started last week (WEEK 30), we will continue from northern mainland Greece with our ARRA™ varieties in the Katerini and Kavala regions.
