The Hass variety is a large dark green avocado with textured skin and a rich creamy inside. Popular since their inception by horticulturist Rudolph Hass, Hass avocado stand out due to their large size and versatility, with this fruit equally at home scooped out fresh or used for baking.

Nurtured in Colombia

Although the Hass variety was first developed in Southern California, the conditions of Colombia in South America have shown themselves to be ideal when growing fantastic quality avocados. The vitamin rich soil, abundant sunlight and good drainage of the Colombian mountainside provide the fruit with ideal growing conditions year-round.

Comment: Jupiter’s Colombian Hass avocados are a true superfood, with just one half of the fruit accounting for one of the NHS’s recommended five-a-day. Hass are a fantastic source of potassium, monounsaturated fat, vitamin E and iron, providing many important antioxidants, helping to prevent free-radicals causing cell damage.
