Just two weeks until the start of Jupiter’s fantastic Moroccan citrus season

Harvesting from week 40, our sweet and juicy Clementine’s kick off what is sure to be an exceptional season of soft citrus in Morocco.

Jupiter grown Clementine’s have access to un-obscured sunlight during the warm days in north Africa and benefit from the cooler nights found surrounding the Atlas Mountains. The well-balanced acidity of the soil on farm, as well as the frost-free subtropical and tropical climate ensure that our fresh produce has access to the finest growing conditions.

Starting with Clementines…

When ripe and ready to harvest our Clementine’s produce an extremely pleasant, sweet citrus fragrance. An attractive, zingy and vibrant variety, Clementine’s are also renowned for a well balanced and slightly sweeter taste than some other soft citrus varieties.

Later in the season

Our Nour variety, a Clementine hybrid, are harvested to provide a fantastic, sweet option to perfectly bridge the potential supply gap between our Moroccan Clementine’s and Nadorcott’s.

The sought-after Nadorcott rounds off our northern Africa citrus season with a bang. A premium mandarin-type easy peeler, Nadorcott’s are cherished for their intense, tangy flavour profile and their exceptional colouration. Seen as the superior soft citrus option globally, our Nadorcott’s are carefully cultivated to ensure not only an appealing appearance, but one that has an unmissable flavour.

The Jupiter Group is a leader in the global fresh produce market. Ranked 17th in the 2020 The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200, Jupiter grows and supplies new and traditional varieties of grapes and citrus alongside melons, pineapples, limes, avocados, kiwi, blueberries and cherries.
