Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School were delighted to accept their Newport Show winnings this week as they became the proud owners of £100 worth of new sports equipment.
Pupils at the school have also been enjoying a month’s worth of free fresh fruit as part of the prize for winning our apple bobbing competition, courtesy of our Nancy Tweddle Foundation.
The Jupiter team are delivering enough fruit for the entire school each week –a prize worth £800- and with a new long-jump mat, tape measure and badminton rackets, the children are sure to be kept busy in the forthcoming school year!
Newport Show 2019
The 110th Newport Show was a record breaker as school children and adults alike munched through a colossal 2,000 Jupiter apples on the day. Tickets sold out with over 14,000 visitors travelling to the Shropshire countryside to sample the “best of the region’s food, entertainment and agricultural excellence.”
Tony Asson, one of the valued Newport Show team members said ‘It’s fantastic to have such involvement from Jupiter at the show and within the local community even after show day, its great to have Jupiter supporting the societies aim of educating the public’.
Proud event sponsors
We love to sponsor local events and the Newport Show is an annual highlight. We were proud sponsors of ‘Little Foodies’, an event that gives local children the opportunity to improve their culinary skills and make Pasta or Sushi from scratch.
We look forward to seeing you in 2020 for another chance to win sports equipment and a months’ worth of free fruit for a school of your choice.
