Jupiter’s support to SARU’s national Rugby Education Foundation is celebrating Sharks and SWD Eagles success
Jupiter is overjoyed to reveal that its sponsorship of an international project is nurturing “exciting and talented” rugby players of tomorrow.
Through our Nancy Tweddle Foundation, we are proud to support a host of community, sports groups and projects, which make a difference to other people’s lives locally, nationally and internationally and bring people together through sports.
Just one of them is South Africa Rugby Union’s (SARU’s) Rugby Education Foundation, which supports “exciting, predominantly black, young talent in rugby academies around the country”.
The programme gives players in its four academies the opportunity to study at university, or technical institution, while completing rugby training.
And we’re delighted to reveal that our sponsorship has allowed the foundation to support two “very talented players”, Denver Prins and Caleb Dingaan.
Players going from strength to strength
Both improved greatly with our support in 2017 and continue to go from strength to strength in rugby skills, physical conditioning and education, as our sponsorship continues through 2018.
Hans Scriba, the General Manager of the Rugby Educational Foundation, said: “Thanks to sponsors such as Jupiter, our Foundation has been able to support some very talented players with bursaries towards education and high-performance training.
“Both Denver Prins and Caleb Dingaan have certainly grabbed this opportunity, and both have shown tremendous progress.
“Denver has accepted a contract to play for the SWD Eagles in George and passed all his degree modules to date; while Caleb has received a professional contract to play for the Sharks under 21 team in Durban, and has progressed well in his Human Resource Management Diploma Course.
“We thank Jupiter for continuing with its contribution to the Rugby Education Foundation to enable us to continue to support these players in 2018.”
Watching progress with excitement
“We are therefore delighted and proud that with our continuing support these two players’ talents have been nurtured and developed. We will watch their progress with excited interest.”
