A huge success
Our team had a great time at Asia Fruit Logistica and Asia Fruit Congress 2018.
Both events have hugely boosted our profile in Asia, as well as further afield, and we can’t wait to see what new relationships develop on the back of it.
Our team also reported back that sponsoring Asia Fruit Congress, the day before the three-day trade show got underway, also helped to draw people to our stand at Asia World-Expo Centre in Lantau.
This year we had our biggest ever stand to date at the event, which ran from September 5th to 7th, and we have been so enthused by how good things went for us that we’re already planning to build on things for Asia Fruit Logistica 2019.
Bigger and better plans for 2019
For starters, we can reveal that we’re already planning to have an even bigger and better stand for next year.
And, those visiting our stand between September 4th to 6th at #AFL19 might not only get to sample our delicious ARRA grapes again, we might even dish up some traditional English fish and chips next time around – you just never know…watch the blog for updates!
Members of our team attending this year’s event included our CEO Mark Tweddle, our Hong Kong office manager Allan Lo, and Huseyin Atinc, our general manager for Turkey.
They were accompanied by interpreter Rita Choi, who speaks Mandarin, Cantonese and English, to help bridge the language barrier; and we also had a display of our ARRA grapes, including the new varieties we are cultivating.
Allan said: “The show exceeded our expectations tenfold. Our stand wasn’t empty at any point, we even had people right up to the event closing on Friday when trade shows are normally quiet.
“There was a lot of focus and interest around the new varieties and the grape display we’d created. Every person stopped to have a look at the grapes and try them.”
Our CEO Mark was also interviewed on the new grape varieties at the show and you can see his interview with Fresh Produce Journal’s Michael Barker here.
