Jupiter’s Turkish Citrus

Sourced from four major growers

Our year-round supply of produce, including our Turkish citrus, has made us one of the world’s leading fresh produce companies with the 17th fastest growing international sales in the UK.

Our excellent quality Turkish citrus range comes from four major citrus growers in the provinces of Marcin, Iskenderun, Adana and Selcuk which all adhere to high standards – Global Gap, ITU and Residue Analysis.

Direct from the field, we can offer this range between week 37 through to week 9, depending on the specific fruit required.

Each grower boasts well-managed packhouses, capable of packing up to 120 pallets of citrus per day, which can be delivered in a host of packing formats as well as bespoke specifications.

Here’s some more information about our Turkish citrus offer…

Lemon – Interdonato

Created by a fruity fusion of citron and lemon, we can offer the interdonato from week 37 through to week 52, in sizes ranging from 88 to 162.

An heirloom variety, this lemon was developed back in the late 19th century, and is extremely juicy and tart, with the added benefit of few seeds, or in some cases none at all.

Star Ruby Grapefruit

Dubbed the “forbidden fruit” when it was discovered in the late 17th century, it is the darkest of the red varieties of grapefruit.

We can provide star ruby grapefruit from week 42 through to week 8, in a range of sizes, including 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50.

Satsuma

With its roots in China, the satsuma is an easy-peeling, seedless citrus.

One of the sweetest varieties of citrus, we can offer satsumas from week 37 through to week 1 in sizes 1X, 1, 2 and 3.

Soft Citrus

We are able to deliver Nova, Tango, Clementines and Murcotts from week 49 through to week 9 in the same sizes as the satsuma – 1X, 1, 2 and 3.

Nova has a rich flavour and is a sweet member of the mandarin family; Tango is an easy-peeler, also from the mandarin family and boasts excellent eating quality; the Clementine is a small seedless fruit; and the Murcott, which is also known as the honey tangerine, is a mandarin and sweet orange hybrid. All make for excellent eating.
