Our stone fruit supply – Greek season approaches

Welcome to the fresh produce world of the Jupiter Group. British-born, and family-run, we are an international fruit grower and trader based in the Shropshire countryside.

We offer a year-round supply of produce, new variety development and specialism in prepared fruit, which has made us one of the world’s leading fresh produce companies.

This includes our stone fruit range of plums, nectarines, apricots, peaches and cherries, which follow the seasons, and varieties, around the world on a programme basis.

Our Greek season, which includes nectarines, peaches and cherries, commenced in mid-May and will run until as late as mid-September, depending on varieties desired.

Produce comes from some of the best growers in the country and can be offered in a host of packing formats – including netted punnets, flow wrapped, loose in cartons, or wooden boxes – or we are happy to discuss bespoke specifications.

Here’s some more information about our Greek stone fruit offer…

Nectarines

From two of the best growers in the northern region of Thessaloniki, we are able to offer nectarines from week 23 through to week 36. Both growers are Global GAP certified and have significant volume in excess of four million kgs.

Peaches

From two quality sources in the north of Greece, we offer class 1 peaches from week 21 to week 38 in 64 varieties, including Sweet Dream, Royal Glory, Summer Giant and Crimson Lady.

Both sources have their own packing facilities (one with superb capacity) with full accreditation of Global GAP, GRASP, BRC, IFS, ISO, 22000 and ISO 9001, HACCP, and AGRO 2.

Did you know – nectarines and peaches are also known as “fruits of the sun”?
